LMS Operational Deflection Shape Analysis is used to visualize the deflection shapes of a structure while it is in operation. Vast amounts of run-up or stationary data are brought to life by animating the geometry immediately after the run, to visualize an ‘action replay’ of what is really happening. The LMS Test.Lab solutions support automatic scrolling along the time axis, for a slow motion camera effect, or along frequency, order or speed axes, for a stroboscope-like analysis. Seconds after acquiring the signals, the user can verify if all transducers were working correctly, observe what deformation patterns relate to the noise issues at a given speed, and benefit from an overall better understanding of the structure’s vibration behavior.
