Fixed-sampled data can be acquired, tracked against rpm (e.g. full-vehicle assessment), speed, time or any slowly varying parameter when performing runup or coastdown tests (e.g. cabin comfort) or averaged under stationary operating conditions (e.g. engine idling). Real-time processing enables operators to benchmark any processing result on-line (e.g. single order/octave/ frequency sections, spectral/order/octave maps, level

evaluation, etc.), or to collect a wide variety of high-quality input data for your engineering work, in a single run.

Synchronous order tracking

Measured data is sampled synchronously with the speed of rotating parts, providing absolute leakage-free measurement with constant order resolution in case steep slew rates are in use, orders are closely spaced, or high orders need to be investigated (e.g. gearbox testing). Individual acquisitions can be triggered on a single pulse/revolution reference in order to obtain absolute phase information.

Real-time octave testing

The workbook facilitates the acquisition and analysis of multichannel 1/1 or 1/3 IEC and ANSI-compliant octave

data up to 20 kHz. The data can be acquired under stationary (e.g. road noise testing) or transient operating conditions. It allows operators to visualize any result online (e.g. octave spectra, octave cuts and OALevels).
